HIghly recommend this product. No more stalled jobs, and installation took two seconds. Printer formerly on 16ft standard USB extension cable, but would work sporadically; printing some jobs, and stalling on others. Installed this wonderful cable, and printer started working perfectly every time.
The only down side was that the cables were a bright braided silver not black as in Amazons sales picture, so I had to do some fast talking and a lot of cable hiding to convince my wife that they wouldn't clash with her interior decoration. Transfer speeds seemed to be acceptable for large pictures and I like the way the USB plugs light up when powered so there is no guess work whether the hook up is good. I Recently bought two Tripp lite USB2 16ft. active extension cables to hook up my PC to my Epson 1400 printer which was on a table 25ft away.
Most people these daysassociate the "Made in China" label to mean the same thingas "CRAP".It's refreshing to find a good product idea that hasn't beenruined by Chinese manufacturing. 1st: I noticed from the bar code number that it was made in the USA;so, it's a relief knowing it's not just another piece of crap from China.2nd: It seems to be very well made (but then it should be for the price).3rd: It performs very well as a USB Repeater. My Linksys WUSB300N USBNetwork Adapter performs perfectly using this as a 16 foot extension.Getting my USB Adapter in front of a Window really improves the signalstrength (although even then, positioning the unit even a couple inchesone way or another can really affect the signal).Final Comment:I think sellers would do them selves a favor by stating in their adsif the product is not made in China.
If this is the extension cord for my Sirius, it's lovely, but I haven't used it yet.
I'm now getting a great reliable wireless connection from my Linksys N router, which beats the pants off the dial-up connection I had before. Out of the bag both cables worked great. My office is essentially located in a concrete bunker. The router is too far away to run ethernet cables, so I bought two of these cables to get the wireless adapter for my computer outside the office where I can get a better connection.
